Saints Quarterback Drew Brees visited his latest Lafayette business today.
Brees already has two restaurants here, and today visited the Surge Entertainment on the corner of Pinhook and Verot School Road.
The business isn't open yet, but Brees was available to give media interviews about the new branch. Surge Entertainment facilities offer bowling, golf simulators, arcade games, obstacle courses, ziplines, climbing, jumping, kareoke and food.
"We're extremely excited to be bringing Surge Entertainment into the Acadiana area," Brees said. "We've got such a great base of families in these communities, that's really what this facility is all about. it's a full family entertainment center. It's got something for the entire family."
Brees said the Lafayette location should be open in the next few weeks. He said the concept came from his own family - he and his wife have four children. It's had to find places that will cater to kids, and if you take your kids to a nice restaurant, they're bored within 30 minutes and want to run around, he said. At his business, they can do that.
"We wanted to build something that is fun for entire family, with great food, a great environment, and family entertainment," he said.
