DOTD crews were out on Monday, February 8, cleaning up areas along I-10 in Lafayette Parish.
Trash was being removed from the old rest station near Louisiana Avenue.
The cleanup is likely part of the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development's initiative to remove litter from the areas where they work every day.
Earlier this month, DOTD shared a video of Secretary Dr. Shawn Wilson explaining the initiative and how the department is working to keep Louisiana beautiful.
