Spirit of Acadiana drive donations distributed in Lake Charles

Nearly 34,000 pounds of supplies donated

Acadiana's generous donations to the Spirit of Acadiana Day of Giving have made their way to Lake Charles for distribution to area communities in need.

33,757 pounds of supplies, food and personal items were collected Friday, September 4, during the drive hosted by KATC, the United Way of Acadiana, Second Harvest Food Bank, and Catholic Charities.

The United Way of Acadiana provided images of their operations to get those donated food items and supplies to people and communities affected by Hurricane Laura.

A distribution site is located at Throne of Grace Fellowship at 2401 6th Street in Lake Charles.
