UPDATE: Lafayette and St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested Corey Etienne, 36, of Duson in connection with Tuesday’s homicide on Stagecoach Lane.
According to authorities, Etienne was arrested in Breaux Bridge and was subsequently charged with 2nd Degree Murder.
Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Detectives investigated a shooting that left one woman dead on Tuesday.
Deputies were called out to the 200 block of Stagecoach Lane at about 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, and found a woman dead of a gunshot wound.
She's identified as Megan Goins, 30.
