The building that houses Dat Dog in downtown Lafayette is for sale.

According to the Advocate, owners of the restaurant in Lafayette have put the 12,000 square-foot, two-story building up for sale for $2.15 million. They say the company is evaluating its options and will close if the building is sold.

A look at the listing through Latter and Blum shows the building has been on the market for 22 days. "The building is underutilized and the owner wants to see all reasonable offers," the listing states.

In an interview with the Advocate, CEO of Dat Dog, Paul Tuennerman said, "We made a tremendous investment in downtown Lafayette and are not eager to move on. We are not focused on the fact that the building is for sale. In Lafayette, we move forward each day as we do in all our restaurants."
