The Guillory administration’s push to consolidate IT groups under one roof may move all of LUS Fiber, not just its IT personnel, under the authority of a new Department of Innovation, The Current is reporting.
This would be a bigger shakeup of the telecom and its former sister department LUS than previously suggested by the administration in meetings and in the press, The Current reports.
Among the revelations in the story: two LUS employees placed on leave while alleged "investigations" were underway are back at work, cleared of any wrong-doing; the administration may be trying to fast-track an LUS Fiber reorganization, and there are legal obstacles to Guillory's plans.
