An unoccupied home in Lafayette sustained heavy fire damage on Thursday morning.
Lafayette Firefighters say they were called to the house fire at 103 Debaillon Street at 5:52 am on February 11.
The Department says the fire was reported after neighbors say flames coming from the home.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the home was fully involved. A search of revealed that the home was not occupied.
A neighboring home, which was occupied, received fire damage to its exterior.
LFD says that no injuries were reported.
According to investigators, the house had been vacant for at least a year and no utility services were supplied to the dwelling.
Neighbors reportedly told fire officials that someone was seen going into over the past few months.
Fire investigators are asking anyone with information, to contact Lafayette Fire Department at 291-8716 or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
