UPDATE: I-49 North is now open at Gloria Switch Road. Congestion is minimal.
The roadway was closed on Sunday night due to a crash.
Lafayette Police say there are no injuries to report in this crash. Lafayette PD spokesperson Cpl. Bridgette Dugas says that the roadway should open again soon.
The police department is seeing more vehicles begin to lose traction on roadways due to deteriorating conditions. They urge caution when driving.
