COVID-19 screening resumes at Cajundome

COVID-19 screening resumes Tuesday, March 24 at the Cajundome.

Screenings will take place from 8:30 am until 10:30 am.

LCG officials say that since last week nearly 450 people have been screened.

Lafayette Parish residents can dial 311 for prescreening before going to the Cajundome.

For other coronavirus-related questions, residents are encouraged to dial 211.

Nine cases of the coronavirus have been reported in Lafayette Parish.

Other parishes in Acadiana reporting cases include Calcasieu (4) Iberia (3), St. Landry (3), Evangeline (2), Acadia (1) and St. Mary (1)

Vermilion, Jeff Davis and St. Martin parishes are currently not reporting any COVID-19 cases.

An update on the number of cases in Louisiana, which currently stands at 1,172 and 34 deaths, is expected at noon.

On Monday, Lafayette Mayor-President Josh Guillory held a press briefing with updates on the parish's COVID-19 response.
