The two-year-old boy found in a car on Sunday in Lafayette Parish died of heatstroke, the Lafayette Parish Coroner reports.

That manner of death comes from a coroner's preliminary report on the death of Ryatt Hensley. 27-year-old Natalie Broussard, Hensley's mother, was booked with Negligent homicide in the case.

Sheriff's Deputies were called out to the 6900 block of Cameron Street in Duson at approximately 1:50 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2020.

Hensley's body found in a vehicle on Andres Road off of Cameron Street.

Deputies say there are no further details at this time as this case remains under investigation.
