Clinicians and employees at Amedisys Home Health and Hospice were treated to a drive-thru Thanksgiving meal.
On Tuesday, November 17 dinner was served as a thank you to front line clinicians.
The dinner, which Amedisys says is usually a seated event, was drive thru instead due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
"Since COVID started we can't really get together as a group," said Amedisys Director Jay Slemmer. "There is a staff of 40, so we do everything virtually, and it's put a strain on things. We like to see each other so this is one way we can do that."
The company says they are thankful for their staff who work around the clock to keep the community safe, healthy and independent.
The drive-thru dinner was held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in Lafayette.
