Election results for 15th, 16th Judicial District Courts

Several Acadiana judgeships have been decided.

In the race for the District Judge 15th Judicial District Court, ES 5, Div. C bench, "Tommy" Frederick won, with 2,898 votes compared to Ricky Lafleur's 2,857.

In the District Judge 15th Judicial District Court, ES 1, Div. B race, Valerie Gotch Garrett has been elected. With 32 of 33 precincts reporting, she has 70 percent of the vote, compared to 30 percent for Travis Broussard.

In the District Judge 15th Judicial District Court, ES 1, Div. D race, Royal Colbert has 55 percent of the vote, also with 32 of 33 precincts reporting. Amanda Martin got 45 percent of the vote.

The races for the 16th Judicial District have also been decided.

In the 16th Judicial District Court, ES 1, Div. H, "Alicia" Butler lost to Roger P. Hamilton, with Butler receiving 2,262 votes (42%) and Hamilton receiving 3,115 (58%).

In the 16th Judicial District Court, ES 2, Div. F, Anthony "Tony" Saleme has been elected with 60% of the vote. His opponent, Natalie Broussard, received 40% of the vote.
