The City of Scott adopted a Drainage Improvement Plan for the city at the regular city council meeting on Thursday night.
The resolution, introduced by Councilman at Large Troy Bergeron, was approved by the majority of council members at the meeting.
A plan was drafted in January and was placed on the city's website for residents to consider in February. Last year, the city held a town hall for residents to get a better idea of what the plan entailed and to provide feedback.
The city has continued to make drainage improvements in 2020, including entering into a drainage initiative with LCG and receiving bids for Provost Pond, which will address drainage issues while also providing a park to residents.
