The City of Broussard is beginning the process of debris pickup on Tuesday, October 13.
Residents of the city are advised to adhere to the following guidelines when placing debris items at the curb:
- Place vegetative material only at curbside, but not in roadway. Vegetative material includes tree trimmings, branches, leaves, etc.
- Do not place any bagged material at curbside, including leaf bags. For bagged material: You may place up to three bags next to your container for your regularly scheduled pickup by Waste Management.
- Do not place any construction materials curbside such as boards, shingles, siding, etc. The materials should be disposed of in the dumpsters behind City Hall, 310 E. Main Street.
Officials say that contractors will make three passes through the city to ensure that all vegetative debris is picked up.
Residents with any questions regarding debris pickup should call City Hall at 337-837-6681 ext. 228.
