Music, prayer, and gumbo. Those three things brought the community of Duson together for a Christmas celebration.
Saturday, Community Christmas was held at the Christ Church in Duson. Attendees were treated to live Christmas music and a meal of gumbo.
Matt Palmer the Pastor of Christ Church says that the church saw a need for more service during the holiday season. This is the first Community Christmas held in Duson.
"We think that in providing an opportunity to serve and worship Christ, there is nothing better we can do with our time," Palmer said.
