CARENCRO, La. — UPDATE - 4:25 p.m.: DOTD is reporting that all lanes are open on I-49 North at Exit 1C. Congestion remains minimal.

The Carencro Police Department says it is working multiple crashes involving two 18-Wheelers on I-49 Southbound near Mile Marker 4.
CPD says that no injuries have been reported. However, the initial crash caused a minor vehicle crash behind it so traffic will remain slow moving until the scene is cleared.
Motorist are advised to avoid the area, but no detour has been established at the moment.
DOTD is also reporting that I-49 North is closed at exit 1C due to vehicle recovery operations.
Congestion remains minimal. Motorists are advised to use an alternate.
