Friday, a Carencro neighborhood is coming together for a demonstration in the wake of George Floyd's death.

Starting at 6 p.m., participants will stand at the end of their driveways in silence for 8 minutes and 46 seconds, the amount of time that a Minneapolis police officer had his knee on George Floyd's neck.

Organizers say this is a protest on a much smaller scale, but they felt they needed to do something. They hope their small act will leave a big impact, and hope to be a display of unity.

The protest is a bit different though, because some are not invited. It is for mothers only.

KATC's Marcelle Fontenot is live at the event and will have more tonight at 6.
