Carencro High School is inviting Acadiana to come cheer on the state championship Bears during a parade this weekend.
The championship parade will be held Sunday, January 10, starting at 11 a.m.
Carencro defeated four-time Class 4A state champions Edna Karrlast month to claim its first state title since 1992. The Bears are one of four Acadiana teams to win a championship this year.
Sunday's parade route is as follows:
- Left out of Carencro High to W Butcher Switch
- Right on N University Ave
- Right on E St. Peter Street
- Left on N Church Street
- Left on Veterans Drive
- Left on N University Ave
- Left on W Butcher Switch
- Right into Carencro High School
CHS invites Acadiana to come out and support the Bears for their big win. Fans are asked to wear facial masks/coverings and practice social distancing at all times.
