All car seat fitting stations at Louisiana State Police Troop locations are now open.
Troopers say that COVID-19 safety guidelines are in place to protect those who need car seat assistance.
Caregivers should wear a mask when out at the locations. State Police say that virtual appointments are available by request.
"95% of people do not install these child seats correctly, so it's important that they get checked by a certified technician," explained Trooper Thomas Gossen with LSP Troop I.
If you need car seat assistance, you can show up anytime between 8 a.m. and noon every Wednesday at Troop I, Gossen said.
