The Cane Cutters Baseball Team hosted a special familiy night at their game last night.
The baseball game went well, with the Cutters defeating the Victoria Generals, 7-3.
It was Star Wars night, so there were some costumes. And fans got some good information about organizations in the community who help families.
The Autism Society, Families Helping Families, Rescued Abilities Project and Atchafalaya Search and Rescue were there to talk about what they do and how to access support.
"I really hope that people take home the message of families helping families," said Brayden Guidry, a public relations intern for the team. "A lot of people don't have it easy especially with social anxiety, depression and autism. I hope it humbles them and helps them realize that people need help."
