Camp Brave Hearts provides a safe place for children to share difficult feelings through fun activities.
Hospice of Acadiana holds the camp for kids from six to eleven who have lost a loved one.
It's a two-day event that happens at the Robicheaux Center in Lafayette.
"Its an amazing impact on their lives now and really for the rest of their lives as we teach them normal things about grief that maybe other people won't teach them, it allows them to share their story and celebrate the person who died and have a safe space to do those things," said Heather Prejean with Hospice of Acadiana.
