The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office says that phone lines are back up and running after an outage on Monday afternoon.
That outage was due to problems with AT&T.
The Sheriff's Office said that during the outage callers may experience a short wait due to the interruption of services.
"AT&T is experiencing problems in an Opelousas area which is causing phone interruptions for 911. At this time the sheriff's office phone lines are working. Callers may experience a short wait on answering phone calls. We will let you know when the lines are back up," a statement from the SLPSO said.
