Cajundome organizers say that the Louisiana Saturday Night event planned for Saturday at Cajun Field is moving forward.

A Cajundome representative confirmed that the Louisiana Saturday Night event that will start at 5 p.m. will take place, but there will be no outdoor live music and guests will be required to wear masks on property.

The outdoor cinema will have seating pods marked for safe social distance seating, but that has been the plan all along, organizers say.

Staff will be pre-screened and will receive a rapid COVID-19 detection test before starting their shift and will also wear face coverings.

Organizers will also be monitoring capacity limits to stay within the new 200-person guideline that was set forth by Lafayette Mayor-President Josh Guillory Friday night.

The Garth Brooks Drive-In Concert, which will also take place at Cajun Field starting at 7:30 p.m., will still move forward, as organizers for the concert said there are still tickets available as of Saturday morning. Find more information and guidelines for the drive-in concert here.
