Two arrested after 26 pounds of synthetic marijuana found during traffic stop on US 90

Broussard Police say a traffic stop uncovered 26 pounds of synthetic marijuana.

Police Chief Brannon Decou says that on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, his officers stopped a vehicle on US Hwy 90 for a traffic violation. Police say they obtained written consent to search the vehicle which revealed a box in the trunk containing 26 pounds of synthetic marijuana.

The driver, identified as 48-year-old David Delk of Morgan City was cited for improper lane use and driving under suspension. Delk was and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule 1 Controlled Dangerous Substances.

His occupant, 32-year-old Angela Curtis of Franklin was also arrested and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule 1 Controlled Dangerous Substances.
