Crews were removing broken playground equipment at Heymann Park on South Orange Street in Lafayette on Friday.
A spokesperson with the Lafayette Consolidated Government said that the park is receiving some updates and that playground equipment at the park was broken and needed to be removed for safety reasons.
LCG said that they did not have a timeframe on when the equipment will be repaired or replaced.
