According to family, Briscoe died Monday evening following a battle with cancer. She was 63.

"Judy dedicated her life not only to a career in PR and marketing, but by volunteering and spreading the art of giving back to anyone willing to participate. Festival International, The Children’s Shelters of Acadiana, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Kiwanis of Acadiana, numerous other festivals and Home for the Holidays," a release states.

A Celebration of Life for Judy is being planned by family and will be announced at a later date. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made at any Home Bank location in the name of Judy’s Wings.

The family asks that those whose lives were touched by Judy, pay tribute to her by volunteering at their favorite community organization. Judy was set to be honored this Saturday as this years Honoree at the American Cancer Society’s annual Black and White Gala.
