LAFAYETTE, La. - An eleven-year-old boy came home this week after fighting cancer at St. Jude in Memphis.

Kaiden Poirier returned home and was welcomed with lots of love at Westminster Christian Academy.

On Saturday, family, friends, and teachers showed their support with signs and cheers during a drive by parade for the fourth grader and his family at the school.

He is now cancer free and will continue treatment in Baton Rouge.

"We have over 60 cars here of people who love each other, they love Kaiden," said Susan Keller, Principal of Westminster Christian Academy. "We're coming along side with him and working his education the way he can take it. And I just want Acadiana to know that's who us Westminster is. We are a big family and we love people."

Check back later for video.

WELCOME HOME, KAIDEN!
