The City of Carencro has lifted their boil water advisory.

Officials say that all water samples have pass the testing required by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.

The boil order was put in place because of a computer malfunction which stopped the pumps from filling the water tower which resulted in low water presser.

No known contamination has occurred as a result of the low pressure. Samples sent to LDH did pass testing.

Schools were not affected by the order. Carencro Middle and Carencro Heights remained open on Thursday.

On Wednesday LPSS made this statement about children going to school, "All safety precautions will be followed to ensure students and staff are safe. Meals will be served and students are encouraged to bring bottled water if they can do so. LPSS will also provide bottled water."
