Acadiana Roller Derby hosted their first tournament today.
The "Battle in the Boot" started this morning at Blackham Coliseum and lasts until 10 p.m. tonight.
Teams from across the state, as well as one from Arkansas, are scheduled to play.
Tickets are $20, with $18 tickets available at the door for Students, Veterans, and anyone bringing a canned good donation to the team's food drive. Kids under 12 get in free.
Roller Derby is a high-energy, full-contact sport and it's a lot of fun to watch. ASL interpretation will be provided until 10 p.m.
