YOUNGSVILLE, La. - The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) New Orleans Field Division is offering up to a $5,000 reward, along with up to a $5,000 reward from the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the burglary of a Lafayette Parish gun store.

On September 1, 2019, at 4:55 a.m., an unknown suspect stole multiple firearms during a burglary of Sentry Defense, a federal firearms licensee, at 4415 Chemin Metairie Parkway, in Youngsville, Jeff Nowakowski, Public Affairs Specialist, ATF, stated in a press release.

Once the burglary was completed, the suspect exited the building and fled in an unknown direction.

This total reward of $10,000 is part of a larger national cooperative initiative between the ATF and NSSF in which NSSF matches ATF's reward in cases involving the theft of firearms from federally licensed firearms retailers.
