In Lafayette, an assisted living center is bringing some joy to their residents this week.
For the next four days, residents at From Garden View Assisted Living can see their families in a car parade in the facility's parking lot. The facility is doing a parade daily at 2:30 pm for residents
Family members can wave and take pictures all from a safe distance.
"With everything happening in the country and the world, we wanna be able to still have light in their life. That's basically the only thing we can do from a distance is have their family be able to see that they're well and that they [the residents] can see that they're well," executive director Kemberly Burnett said.
