The Lafayette Parish School System says it will pay all of its employees through the duration of the coronavirus outbreak.
According to a memo sent to employees on Thursday, "All LPSS employees - permanent employees, employees serving in a long-term substitute position, and employees serving in a regular supplemental position (for example tutors, bus drivers, occupational therapists, and physical therapists) - will continue to receive compensation consistent with the position held."
In the memo, the district's human resources department said payroll direct deposits will continue as regularly scheduled.
