Precious Paw Prints Animal Rescue partnered with Mattress Doctor Lafayette to host an Adoption Day Fundraiser Saturday.
The event was held until 2 p.m. at Mattress Doctor's store in Youngsville.
Rescued dogs were at the store and were available for adoption/foster to adopt. There was also bedding, door prizes, food and drinks, and more.
This is the third adoption event the businesses have partnered to host this year. Every dog that gets adopted, another dog will be saved - organizers say that for every dog that gets adopted, another gets saved from being put down because the dogs are often pulled from kill shelters and due to be put down that day.
Whitney Mike Segura, Owner and Chief Marketing Officer of Mattress Doctor, said of the event, "It's been going great. My goal was just to save one life and we've done more than that. And we've raised a bunch of money and it keeps getting bigger and better. I'm just so blessed to have the support of our local community."
