The 15th Judicial District has added some rules that affect the courthouses in Acadia, Lafayette and Vermilion parishes.
The courthouses will only be open between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily, so that extra cleaning can be done in the buildings.
Also, people with the following conditions won't be allowed in the courthouse and are asked to stay home:
People who have been asked to self-quarrantine by any health agency
People who have been diagnosed with or had contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19
People with an unexplained cough that has lasted for five or more days
People who are experiencing recent shortness of breath
People with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher
If you are experiencing any of these things and are set for court, you should let your judge know.
These orders are in place until March 27.
