One local ministry is trying to give back to less fortunate families in Acadiana.
Freedom World Ministries is asking for donations particularly for women and children this holiday season.
The ministry will also provide a free Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve from ten to two.
The ministry's pastor wants to send the message despite hard times they are supported.
"I never see myself as being more than anybody. Despite what situation I may be in. Despite how much I may have. So i want to let them know that somebody still loves them and believes in them."
