The Rosewood Retirement & Assisted Living Community in Lafayette celebrated one of their residents in a special way.
Ms. Glenna Loewer turned 84 on Friday, March 27.
The staff normally has big celebrations for their residents with family and friends but because of COVID-19 some new restrictions had to be put in place.
In the spirit of social distancing and limiting the spread, staff have had to get creative to make birthdays for residents a little brighter while quarantining.
Keeping six feet apart, they greeted Mrs. Glenna at her door with a rousing Happy Birthday song and celebratory signs.
With one under their belt, the Rosewood staff say they plan on celebrating another resident's birthday on Monday.
The video was posted to the Rosewood Facebook page where the public can wish Ms. Glenna a Happy Birthday while keeping their distance.
