LAFAYETTE — A 19-year-old woman from Lafayette has been identified as the victim in a fatal crash along Louisiana Avenue.
Lafayette Police identified the victim involved in the crash on Monday as Carrie Guidroz . Police say Guidroz was a passenger in the vehicle.
On Monday, investigators say that one vehicle was traveling southbound on Louisiana Avenue, when for unknown reasons it veered into oncoming traffic and struck a second vehicle.
Medical assistance was provided to the three people on scene prior to them being transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
