LAFAYETTE, La — Lafayette Fire department is on the scene of a house fire in the 600 block of Poydras Street.
The Fire Department says that it is unknown at this time if the house was occupied at the time of the fire.
The home sustained severe damage. No injuries were reported.
A resident who was out walking his dog says he saw the smoke and flames and called 911.
An investigation into the fire is ongoing.
