An investigation is underway into the crash of a crop duster in Jeff Davis Parish.
According to the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's Office, a crop duster went down after clipping a telephone pole near the intersection of La. 382 and David Rd just south Roanoke. Deputies say the plane lost a wing and then struck a tree before coming to a stop in a field.
The incident happened around 8:20 am.
The sheriff's office say that the pilot walked away from the crash and was transported to a hospital with minor scrapes.
The National Transportation Safety Board is currently investigating.
Welsh Fire District 3 assisted in responding to the incident.
