There's a burn ban in Jeff Davis Parish now.
Wednesday evening, the Jefferson Davis Parish Police Jury issued a ban burn for the entire parish.
Parish officials are asking residents to contact their fire department if they have any questions.
The burn ban was issued because of continuing dry conditions in the parish, and is in place until further notice.
