The Jefferson Davis Electric Cooperative plans an outage on Wednesday.
The co-op says there will be an outage, for approximately six hours, for the Michigan Wisconsin substation.
The outage is planned to start at 9 a.m. It is necessary to perform essential maintenance work, officials say.
The areas affected will be Creole, Oak Grove and Little Chenier.
