The Jennings Police Department says that they have received no cooperation in investigating a recent homicide.

In a post on Facebook, asking for the public's help, the police department says that of the 150 people present at the time of the fatal shooting, no one has cooperated.

That shooting happened Friday November 29 at a private party at the Ward Event Center on South Main Street.

22-year-old Dakota Chaisson was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds. Chaisson was shot inside the building and then taken outside where first aid was administered, according to police.

According to Chief Semmes the lack of cooperation makes cases of this nature difficult to solve or prosecute. "We strongly encourage the community to anonymously submit information," the post states.
