As we get into the first day of September our weather will remain is full summer mode with a Heat Advisory up for the western half of Acadiana out to east Texas, central Acadiana will be maybe a degree shy of criteria so for all intents and purposes treat it as if we all have an Advisory.

This heat is going to be accompanied by plenty of sunshine and despite all of the moisture in the atmosphere showers will remain at a premium with only a handful of isolated showers possible in the afternoon.

Heat index values will sit in the triple digits through the next couple of days which is going to be make the clean up efforts even harder in west Louisiana, those who are going to be taking part in the clean up efforts please listen to your body and take the heat seriously.

There is for the most part a very quiet pattern taking shape for the rest of the work week with temperatures remaining hot, and showers offering relief largely out of the forecast.

Showers may return to the forecast by the end of the week, which could help break this very stuffy pattern
