Teachers from Westgate High School had a new side hustle today.
They were making fries and shakes at McDonald's to raise money for the school.
Principal Neely Moore and some of the faculty were working at McDonald's on Center Street, courtesy of Miller Management, which has owned and operated McDonald's in New Iberia since the 1980s.
The program, called McTeacher's Night, lets the restaurant give back to its community.
A percentage of all sales during the three hours teachers are serving will go to the school. They'll be there until 7 p.m.
We'll have more later today on KATC TV3.
