A vigil will be held Friday, August 14, at 6:00 pm for the victim of a Sunday shooting in New Iberia.
23-year-old Quantravious Alexis was killed August 9 in a shooting in the 900 block of Mississippi Street.
Family will gather on Friday on Mississippi Street to remember Alexis, who was found suffering from gunshot wounds and later died from his injuries.
A suspect, 21-year-old Tyron D. Chevalier, was identified in connection with the incident. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Anyone knowing his whereabouts is asked to contact the New Iberia Police Department.
