NEW IBERIA, La. — Iberia Parish reported its third positive case of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) on Thursday.
According to Iberia Parish President Larry Richard, the public should be assured that they are prepared and will continue their efforts to limit the spread of the virus.
The Louisiana Department of Health is reporting 2,305 cases of COVID-19 in the state with 83 deaths as of Thursday. There are 53 parishes in total reporting cases of COVID-19.
LDH is now reporting the number of people hospitalized in the state due to COVID-19 with 676 patients in hospitals and 239 of those patients are on ventilators.
