On Saturday, the Bayou Teche Museum celebrated a belated birthday with visitors.
Friday was the museum's 10th birthday, having opened its doors in 2010.
The museum, located in New Iberia, houses a permanent collection of artifacts and memorabilia from the region which they say tells the story of "a growing city, its people, culture and industry all centered around the "snake-like" curves of the Bayou Teche."
This Saturday, patrons to the museum were treated to cookies and lemonade and free admission.
Social distancing was practiced.
