An NFL star with close ties to Acadiana is giving back this holiday season.
Diontae Spencer, who plays for the Denver Brocos, recently donated toys to four schools in Iberia Parish. Spencer is a native of New Iberia.
Spencer's family was out again on Monday on his behalf donating money and other items to a family that lost their home in a recent fire.
"In giving back, you get things back in return. God is always gonna help you to help someone else and that's his motto. Always to be grateful for where he's come from and where he is today and give back to the people in Iberia Parish," Vanessa Spencer, Diontae's mother said.
The Spencer's also gave toys to the homeowner's granddaughter who lost her toys in the fire.
