NEW IBERIA — Iberia Parish citizens got the chance to meet the six candidates running for sheriff.
The Partnering For Change forum was held Monday September 9, 2019 at the Martin Luther King center in New Iberia. Candidates had the chance to discuss some of the issues important to them and to the parish.
"You get an opportunity here to not only voice your opinion but also hear others and also give the candidates an opportunity to share the ideas that they may have if they be elected the next sheriff of New Iberia," said Reverend Wilford Johnson organizer of the event.
