A peace march will take place on Saturday in Iberia Parish to protest against racial injustices and police brutality in America.

On June 6, at 5:00 pm, protesters will gather at the Iberia Parish courthouse and proceed peacefully to Lloyd G. Porter Stadium in New Iberia.

Organizers say the event aims to unite the community together against police brutality and injustices faced by people of color.

All are welcomed to attend and organizers say that social distancing will be adhered to.

Those who attend are also encouraged to bring signs and posters.
